A couple of years ago the NHS project to collect this data (The High Level Indicators project) won a Golden Bull award from the Campaign For Plain English for the project's hundred and something word description of a bed. The award was even mentioned on "Have I Got News For You" (A satirical UK comedy show). The project manager was the one who won the award, had his name splashed all over the place and got frowned on by his managers. In fact he had nothing to do with it and was a pretty decent bloke who was working under a lot of pressure. I'm all in favour of puncturing the ego's of officious bureaucrats but this case they got the wrong bloke. So CFPE make sure that you get it right next time!
